No! Only you need VoiceLink. The app automatically detects your teammates' languages from their voice, then translates both directions. Teammates hear your translated voice through their normal Discord/game audio. If they also use VoiceLink, translation quality is even better (personalized sync).
VoiceLink listens to your teammates and auto-detects their language within 5 seconds. It remembers each teammate's language for the session. If teammates haven't spoken yet, it falls back to your configured default (e.g., English). You can also manually override at any time.
VoiceLink uses passive audio capture and a virtual microphone driver — the same approach as Discord, OBS, or any voice tool. It doesn't read, write, or modify any game files or memory. That said, every game has its own Terms of Service, and it's your responsibility to review them. We can't make guarantees on behalf of third-party anti-cheat systems.
About 480ms in Game mode (Pro/Ultra). Common gaming callouts ("rush B", "ace") are cached and translate near-instantly. Both directions run in parallel — bidirectional doesn't add latency.
